Jews and Gentiles in one Body
God is not Jewish and does not belong to the Jewish people. The Jewish people belong to him. All mankind belongs to him and he shows favor to all mankind.

All who believe in him according to him word are united to one another by the common faith, their shared experience of his grace, their desire to serve him and their need to be helped in so doing. That unity of the believers is called "the church".

In the church all are equal, although all are not identical. All enjoy the same privileges and duties, although not all have the same function.

The practical expression of the church is to be found in a local body of believers who congregate and administer their shared life, worship and obedience to God according to his command.
